Machine Compatibility

TGEC grapple saws work with standard pin-on mounting systems and most major quick-coupler brands. Three critical dimensions must be verified for proper fit: pin diameter, pin center distance (spacing between the two arm pins), and arm width (inner arm plate spacing). These dimensions vary between excavator brands and models—even within the same weight class—so always measure your actual machine rather than relying on published specs. The TG-GS350 is recommended for 6–10 ton excavators, and the TG-GS450 for 10–20 ton excavators. Both models require a dedicated auxiliary hydraulic circuit with sufficient flow and pressure to run the saw motor, grapple cylinders, and rotation motor. Custom mounting brackets are fabricated to match non-standard pin dimensions, and quick-coupler adapter plates are available for major mechanical and hydraulic coupler brands. Always verify that the combined weight of the grapple saw (450–550 kg) plus the maximum log load (1–3 tons) remains within the excavator's rated lift capacity at the working radius—especially when operating at extended reach or on uneven terrain.
