Machine Compatibility

TGEC tree spades can be configured for compatible pin-on and quick-coupler mounting systems, subject to model and dimensional verification. Three critical measurements determine proper fit: pin diameter, pin center spacing (distance between the two arm pins), and arm width (inner plate spacing). Because these dimensions vary considerably among excavator brands and models—even within the same weight class—always measure your actual machine rather than relying on spec sheets or online data.

Tree spades are heavier than many attachments, ranging from 830 kg for the TG-TS60 to 2000 kg for the TG-TS200. Lift capacity is a key compatibility factor: the combined weight of the spade plus the extracted root ball—which can add substantial weight depending on ball size and soil conditions—must stay within the excavator's rated lift capacity at the operating radius. The recommended excavator ranges are 5–10 tons for the TG-TS60, 7–15 tons for the TG-TS80, 10–20 tons for the TG-TS150, and 15–28 tons for the TG-TS200. We fabricate custom mounting brackets for non-standard pin configurations. Adapter plates can be reviewed for compatible mechanical and hydraulic coupler interfaces.
