Komatsu's PC-Series is built around a simple premise: one machine for every job, from backyard landscaping to open-pit mining. But attachment selection across this range requires understanding three key variables: the MR factor, the LC factor, and the Dash-generation factor.

The MR (Mini Radius) models — PC18MR through PC55MR — are Komatsu's zero-tail-swing specialists, designed for tight urban environments where every inch of rear clearance matters. These machines deliver 15‑35 L/min and are best matched with compact buckets, small breakers (up to 300 J), augers, and thumbs for utility work, landscaping, and residential construction. MR attachments must preserve the machine's compact swing profile — TGEC verifies rear-swing clearance on every MR-attachment combination. Standard mini excavators like the PC60 and PC70 share similar flow ratings but use conventional tail-swing designs with slightly larger mounting dimensions, often preferred in rental fleets and general construction.

The medium PC models — PC110 through PC270 — represent the backbone of Komatsu's construction lineup, delivering 35‑55 L/min and supporting 500‑800 J breakers, heavy buckets, rippers, and demolition grapples for commercial construction, site development, and roadwork. LC variants like the PC210LC and PC270LC feature extended undercarriages for added stability, allowing 10‑15% heavier attachments than standard models of the same hydraulic output.
