Product Overview
This disc-style hedge trimmer bolts onto your excavator boom right where the bucket would normally go. A hydraulic motor spins a horizontal bar carrying multiple circular saw blades, and at 2,500 rpm they slice clean through hedges, limbs, and woody growth up to 10 cm thick, leaving a smooth, even edge behind. The excavator's boom gives you the reach and height to tackle overgrown areas that would be awkward or risky with a handheld trimmer. And with weights ranging from just 75 to 110 kg, it plays nice with compact and mid-size machines without pushing their lift capacity to the limit.
You've got three models to choose from, depending on how wide a cut you need. The TG-SH110 delivers 110 cm of cutting width with three blades—great for lighter vegetation. The TG-SH140 bumps that up to 140 cm with four blades, and the TG-SH170 goes to 170 cm with five blades, built for bigger hedges and thicker growth. All three run 30 cm diameter circular saw blades and can handle branches up to 10 cm thick. Excavator Compatibility Guidance
TGEC disc hedge trimmers are designed for mini to mid-size excavators. The TG-SH110, at 75 kg with a 110 cm cutting width, is a solid match for smaller compact machines. The TG-SH140 (85 kg, 140 cm) and TG-SH170 (110 kg, 170 cm) are better suited to mid-size carriers with more lift capacity. The attachment needs an auxiliary hydraulic circuit to spin the cutting head motor. When you're deciding on a model, double-check that your excavator's lift capacity at working reach can handle the attachment weight plus the cutting loads you'll be putting on it, and that your auxiliary hydraulic flow and pressure are up to the motor's requirements.
The final fit comes down to your excavator's auxiliary hydraulic specs, mounting bracket geometry, and pin dimensions. Working Principle
The disc hedge trimmer uses a hydraulic motor to drive multiple circular saw blades at 2500 rpm. Pressurized fluid from the excavator auxiliary circuit spins the motor, which transfers power to the blades along the cutting bar. As the blades rotate, their sharp teeth slice through hedges and branches up to 10 cm. The excavator boom positions the bar, and the operator adjusts hydraulic flow to control cutting speed.
Wear Parts & Service
Primary wear items are the circular saw blades, hydraulic motor, drive bearings and hydraulic hoses. Inspect blades regularly for dullness or damage and ｒｅｐｌａｃｅ or sharpen as needed. Check the motor and bearings for leaks or unusual noise, and inspect hoses for abrasion or cracks. Grease mounting bracket pins and bushings per the maintenance schedule. Genuine replacement parts and blade sets are available for all models.
