Product Overview
The TGEC excavator ripper boom assembly is a dedicated reinforced boom-and-arm configuration designed for severe-duty ripping applications, featuring a ruggedized design to handle high ripper loads. Manufactured from high-tensile steel with strengthened pivot joints and extra-thick plating, it’s built to endure the severe stresses of ripper tooth operation. The integrated ripper, fixed at the arm end, uses the excavator's bucket curl function to loosen rock, caliche, and permafrost through the standard bucket curl circuit rather than a dedicated auxiliary attachment circuit. As a key member of the TGEC excavator boom and arm assemblies family, this unit is ideal for quarrying, highway construction, mining, and major earthmoving jobs where conventional buckets fall short. Series-Wide Technical Highlights
Made from heavy-gauge, high-strength steel with reinforced hinge points and thickened panels to handle high ripper loads.
The built-in ripper shank uses the bucket curl circuit to loosen hard rock, compacted fill, and icy ground.
Custom-fabricated mounting brackets are engineered for the specified excavator make and model, based on verified pin spacing, pin diameter and stick width requirements.
The assembly includes the boom, arm, and integrated ripper configuration, with pins and bushings specified according to the target machine configuration.
The boom and arm are shipped separately where required to accommodate transport and container-loading requirements.
Excavator Compatibility Guidance
TGEC ripper boom assemblies are available for 30-to-90-ton excavators in four distinct sizes. Choose the TG-RB30 for 30-ton-class machines, the TG-RB40 for 40-ton excavators, the TG-RB70 for 70-ton-class equipment, and the TG-RB90 for 90-ton models. Each assembly is built to order for the precise make and model, with mounting brackets designed to match the machine's pin dimensions. When you place an order, be sure to include the excavator make and model, operating weight, pin-to-pin spacing, pin diameter, and stick width so our engineering department can confirm the correct mounting configuration. This ripper configuration is designed to use the excavator's bucket curl circuit rather than a dedicated auxiliary attachment circuit.
Typical Applications
Quarries and surface mining: Loosen and displace hard rock layers, overburden, and tundra for easier loading.
Road building: Penetrate caliche, compacted subgrade, and rocky outcrops during base course prep.
Large civil works: Excavate solid ground, shattered rock, and permafrost on heavy civil and footing projects.
Demolition and site clearing: Dismantle concrete pads, footings, and stubborn ground during site preparation.
Rock trenching and hard-ground excavation: Cut through rock and cemented layers that stop standard buckets, then clear out the spoils.

Working Principle
The ripper tooth is operated through the excavator's bucket curl function. During ripping, the machine applies hydraulic force through the arm and attachment to loosen hard or compacted ground. The boom and arm are constructed from thicker plate with reinforced joints to withstand the loads generated during ripper operation. This configuration uses the excavator's standard bucket curl circuit rather than a dedicated auxiliary attachment circuit.
