The TGEC sliding dipper stick is a replacement arm configuration for excavators that need additional digging depth and reach without changing the boom. This slide-in design uses an inner arm member that moves in and out of the outer housing, providing additional reach for deep trenching, slope work, and material handling at a distance — all without having to swap out the whole boom assembly. Excavator Compatibility Guidance
TGEC sliding dipper sticks are sized for excavators from 12 to 45 tons in four steps. The TG-ES12 is designed for 12-to-15-ton machines; the TG-ES20 is designed for 20-to-25-ton excavators; the TG-ES30 is designed for 30-to-35-ton units; and the TG-ES40 is designed for 40-to-45-ton models. This sliding arm replaces the standard stick and connects to the specified excavator boom through mounting dimensions verified for the carrier machine. Keep in mind that extending the arm increases leverage, so final bucket selection may require a lower capacity than a standard arm configuration. Working Principle
The sliding dipper uses the excavator's arm hydraulic system together with its internal extension mechanism to provide variable working length. The slide mechanism uses wear-resistant guides and bushings to keep everything aligned and prevent binding during extension or retraction. With the arm extended, the configuration provides greater digging depth and horizontal reach. However, because the longer arm increases leverage and reduces stability, you'll need to step down the bucket size from what you'd run on a standard arm. The sliding dipper runs off the existing arm circuit — no extra auxiliary hydraulics are required.
