Product Overview
The TGEC Excavator Forestry Mulcher is designed for forestry mulching, vegetation management, land clearing, and right-of-way maintenance. A horizontal hydraulic-driven drum fitted with carbide-tipped cutters processes brush, woody debris, fallen trees, stumps, and other ground-level vegetation.
As part of the TGEC excavator mulchers range, the fixed-tooth drum mulcher is available in three models for different excavator weight classes. The TG-MC 70, TG-MC 120, and TG-MC 200 cover excavators from 6 to 25 tons, with hydraulic flow requirements from 90 to 250 L/min. Bolt-on carbide cutters can be replaced individually, allowing routine cutter maintenance without removing the complete drum assembly.
For applications that require material handling in addition to mulching, consider the drum mulcher with hydraulic thumb. For work focused primarily on felling and processing standing trees, the disc mulcher may be a more suitable option.

Excavator Compatibility Guidance
Choosing the correct drum mulcher starts with the excavator's operating weight and auxiliary hydraulic capacity. The TG-MC 70 is designed for 6–7 ton excavators and requires 90 L/min (23.8 GPM). The TG-MC 120 is designed for 10–15 ton excavators and requires 150 L/min (39.6 GPM). The TG-MC 200 is designed for 20–25 ton excavators and requires 250 L/min (66.0 GPM). All three models have a continuous operating pressure of 245 bar (3550 psi).
Hydraulic flow and pressure are only part of the compatibility check. Mounting bracket dimensions, pin spacing, quick-coupler configuration, and the excavator's lift capacity should also be verified for the intended working radius. A case drain line is required for all three models. Provide your excavator make, model, auxiliary hydraulic specifications, and mounting details so the TianGe team can confirm the appropriate mulcher model and mounting configuration.

Working Principle
The drum mulcher is mounted to the excavator boom and powered by the carrier's auxiliary hydraulic circuit. Pressurized hydraulic oil drives a high-torque motor, which rotates the horizontal drum. Carbide-tipped cutters mounted around the drum engage woody material and vegetation, cutting and grinding it into smaller pieces that are discharged beneath the mulcher housing.
The operator controls the drum position and feed rate through the excavator's boom and attachment controls. The horizontal drum configuration is particularly suited to processing fallen trees, stumps, brush, and other vegetation close to ground level. Because the cutters are individually bolted to the drum, worn cutters can be removed and replaced without removing the complete drum assembly.
